Ingredients
- 6 day-old croissants
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
- 4 large eggs (or flax eggs)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut croissants into halves or quarters and arrange them in a greased baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well-blended.
- Sprinkle half the chocolate chips over the croissants, pour half the custard mixture on top. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
- Bake for about 50 minutes until golden brown and set in the center.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy with fresh berries or whipped cream.
