Ingredients
- 1 large apple (peeled and diced into 1/2-inch pieces)
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tube crescent rolls
- Sugar glaze
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine diced apple, light brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Melt unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat; add the apple mixture and cook until slightly softened (about 5 minutes).
- Unroll crescent rolls on a clean surface and separate into triangles.
- Place a spoonful of apple filling on the wide end of each triangle and roll from wide end to point. Pinch edges to seal.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place turnovers on it.
- Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Drizzle with sugar glaze after cooling slightly.
