Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Scoop cookie dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them appropriately.
- Bake for 8-18 minutes based on cookie size until golden around edges.
- Let cool on the baking sheet before transferring to wire racks.
