  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/3 cup red bell pepper (finely diced)
  • 2 tablespoons green onion (diced)
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped or minced)
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil (or oil of your choice, more if needed)
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 strips cooked Turkey Bacon (cut in half making 4 pieces)
  • 2 buns (toasted)

  • red onion (sliced)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, red bell pepper, green onion, smoked paprika, sea salt, black pepper, and garlic. Mix until well incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
  3. Preheat avocado oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place two patty balls into the skillet and smash them down gently with a spatula.
  4. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until browned on one side. Flip the patties over, add cheddar cheese on top, cover with a lid, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese melts.
  5. Assemble by spreading mayo and sriracha on toasted buns, placing the cheesy patties on top followed by sliced red onions and Turkey Bacon. Top with the second bun.
