Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together water and cornstarch until smooth.
- Stir in sliced strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- Cook over medium heat until boiling; allow to boil for 30-60 seconds.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 8-10 minutes until thickened.
- Remove from heat and let cool completely before using.
