- 5 heaping cups fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a deep dish pie plate or large baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine strawberries with granulated sugar, mixing until coated. Add cornstarch and vanilla extract; stir well before pouring into the prepared dish.
- In another bowl, mix flour, oats, both sugars, salt, and cinnamon. Pour in melted butter and stir until crumbly; sprinkle over strawberries.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
