  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • ⅓ cup sour cream
  • 1 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ⅓ cup milk
  • 3 cups chopped fresh strawberries
  • 1 ½ tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix flour, sugars, and salt for the crumb topping. Stir in melted butter until combined; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix in sour cream.
  4. Fold together the sifted dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined; stir in milk.
  5. Spread batter into the prepared pan, top with coated strawberries, and sprinkle with crumb mixture.
  6. Bake for 40-50 minutes until golden brown and firm to touch. Cool before serving.
