Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm water, granulated sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Mix in half the vegetable oil, then add flour and salt. Stir until you have a soft dough.
- Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for about an hour until doubled.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C). Line a pizza pan with parchment paper and coat it with remaining oil.
- Shape the risen dough on the pan, creating dimples on top.
- Bake for 10 minutes until lightly golden.
- While baking, mix melted butter and sugar in a bowl.
- Brush this mixture over the crust, then spread cherry pie filling evenly on top.
- Prepare crumble by mixing flour, sugars, and salt; stir in melted butter until clumpy.
- Sprinkle the crumble over the filling and bake for another 13-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Whisk together confectioners' sugar, milk, and almond extract for the glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over warm dessert pizza after removing from oven; cool slightly before slicing.
